  What would you say?

  if you had 2 minutes with an old witness friend or with a family member to convince them the 'truth' is a lie and the gb isnt being directed by god what would you say to get their attention that might make them question their beliefs?.

  They didn't get to be a JW in 2 minutes, so it's hard to imagine undoing that level of indoctrination in such a short time. It took me over 6 years to wake up after I was exposed to TTATT, and everybody's different.

  That being said, you can make a sizable dent in 2 minutes, even one well chosen sentence. Maybe not an immediate life-changer, but something that will stick with them and maybe "bear fruit" later. (Sorry for the subconscious JW-ism.)

  Couldn't the GB have foreseen "spiritual endangerment" taking hold with Internet approval?

  having listened to the two gb helpers (and cedar's interspersed commentary), i was somewhat taken aback at the comments on the widespread availability of smartphones and such at bethel.

  I think were it not for rising printing costs combined with dwindling contributions, along with lawsuits, they would still be condemning the internet and using physical publications. It's a necessary evil for them.

  Do you remember any details so I can try to locate any posts where someone describes being outed through revealing personal information here? Just wondering if it's actually been documented.

  This is something that's crossed my mind before, and I even asked Simon to delete a post of mine that was only moderately revealing. The chances were negligible but it was mostly for my own peace of mind.

  I'm not trying to be mean, but there's ample evidence that JWs NEVER were a special chosen people from the beginning. Like OneEyedJoe said, JWfacts.com is a great place to start pulling the curtain back. There's nothing special back there, never has been.

  this is my first post to this site, im pale.emperor's brother:).

  first of all, i've left being a jw in june.

  since then my family have tried to convince me it's "the truth" and force me to go back even though it's my own decision.
